1. Every operator must hold
These are checked at onboarding and must stay current.
- •Valid business registration and PAN
- •Current public liability insurance
- •State tourism registration where the state requires it
- •A named 24x7 emergency contact
- •A written emergency and evacuation plan
2. High-altitude departures (above 3,000 m)
Trips to Spiti, Ladakh, Chandratal and comparable routes carry additional requirements, because the nearest hospital can be hours away on poor roads.
- •Supplemental oxygen carried on the vehicle
- •A first-aid-trained trip leader travelling with the group
- •An acclimatisation day built into the itinerary where the route gains altitude quickly
- •A documented evacuation route
3. Transport
Vehicles must hold a valid tourist permit and fitness certificate, and drivers must hold a current commercial licence appropriate to the vehicle and terrain.
4. Reporting a safety concern
Report anything unsafe to [Customer care email — NOT SET]. We investigate safety reports ahead of all other queries and can suspend an operator's listings immediately while we do.
